How I work ♡
I welcome folx of all identities, experiences, and life stages—and work closely with queer and neurodiverse individuals, as well as those simply trying to make sense of living in an overwhelming world. I strive to offer attuned support around gender identity and expression, including experiences across the queer, trans, and non-binary spectrum; masculine and feminine identity development; ADHD, dyslexia, and autism (including high-masking and late-diagnosed folks); and those in or exploring open, polyamorous, ENM, or kink-centered relationships.
I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and integrating spiritual and psychedelic experiences. As a queer multicultural neurodiverse clinician, my practice is rooted in trauma informed, anti-pathologizing, liberation-oriented care. Together, we can slow down, uncover meaning, and co-create space for the parts of you that have longed to be seen.
Approach
Tailored Support
At Jolicoeur Therapy, I specialize in providing personalized therapeutic services designed to address the unique needs of each individual & Couple. My approach is compassionate, professional, and aims to facilitate emotional and psychological growth.

Relational, Emotional,
and Trauma Informed Care.
Therapy with me is grounded in connection. I offer a space where we can move at your pace—where there’s no pressure to be “fixed,” only the invitation to be more fully understood. I believe healing happens through relationship: to ourselves, to others, to our histories, and to the bodies and identities we carry.

My approach draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), parts work, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), psychodynamic theory, and base in somatic trauma-informed practices. I hold all of this within a queer-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and socially aware lens, attuned to the impact of systemic harm and the need for safety, softness, and solidarity within therapy.
Cultural Awareness
My approach is grounded in cultural humility and the understanding that our identities are shaped by intergenerational histories, migration stories, family systems, language, and systemic forces. As a Spanish-speaking clinician with meaningful ties to Latin American culture and community, I hold space for the nuances and complexities that come with navigating bicultural or multicultural identities, colonial legacy, and belonging.
I honor the richness of your lived experience—whether you're exploring cultural identity, healing generational wounds, or unpacking the impact of systemic oppression. Our work together is a space where you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door.

Sex Therapy &
Embodied Relational Healing
Sex is deeply connected to our identity, worth, safety, and relationships. I hold a sex-positive, queer- and kink-affirming, trauma-informed lens when exploring topics related to sex, intimacy, pleasure, desire, and embodiment. Whether you're navigating shame, disconnection, identity exploration, or seeking to cultivate more fulfilling sexual experiences, I approach this work with sensitivity, consent, and curiosity. My approach to sex therapy is relational and holistic—acknowledging how past experiences, attachment patterns, cultural messages, and bodily experiences all shape how we show up in intimate spaces.
Therapy as a Relationship
Therapy as a Relationship I show up as a real person in the room. I believe the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful site of repair, reflection, and co-regulation. We’ll pay attention to what happens between us as a window into how you’ve learned to relate—and as a place where something new might unfold.

Eco-Therapy &
Walk-and-Talk Sessions
For those drawn to nature, I offer eco-informed therapy and walk-and-talk sessions as ways of healing outside the traditional therapy room. Being in relationship with the land—through walking, sitting under trees, or noticing seasonal shifts—can support nervous system regulation, emotional clarity, and a deeper sense of rootedness.

These sessions invite a slower, more attuned rhythm.
They are especially powerful for clients feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by urban life. I welcome conversation around ancestral land connection, climate grief, and how our environments shape us.
Mind-Body Connection
Emotions don’t just live in our minds—they’re held in the body. I integrate somatic awareness and mindfulness practices into our work as gentle ways of reconnecting to your body’s wisdom, boundaries, and signals. Together, we may explore breath, sensation, posture, or stillness as tools for regulation, release, and presence.
This embodied approach allows us to work with trauma and emotion not only through words, but also through nervous system attunement and body-based grounding. Whether you feel disconnected from your body or deeply sensitive to it, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

Integrative & Creative Practices
I often draw from creative and symbolic modalities as additional doorways into self-understanding and reflection. These are not formal art therapy practices, but rather intuitive and meditative processes that can support meaning-making and emotional depth. Depending on your interests, we might explore:
-
Dream work or symbolic storytelling
-
Oracle or card readings as tools for reflection
-
The natural world as mirror and metaphor
-
Psychedelic or spiritual experience integration
-
Collage, music, movement, & other expressive practices
These offerings emerge organically in session and are always client-led. If these approaches resonate with you, they can support a grounded, imaginative, and spiritually curious space for growth.
